Call For Participants for the “Gender Inequality Through Youth Work” Project

We are looking for 2 participants (woman or LGBTIQ+)  to the project that we are partners of “Fighting Gender Inequality through Youth Work” which is implemented with the support of the Erasmus+ of the European Union. 

Project Aim

FIGHTING GENDER INEQUALITY THROUGH YOUTH WORK AIMS TO PROMOTE GENDER EQUAL SOCIETY BY STRENGTHENING COMPETENCIES OF CSOS REPRESENTATIVES COMING FROM PARTICIPATING ORGANIZATIONS TO TACKLE ROOTS OF GENDER INEQUALITY AND EFFECTIVELY RESPOND ON THEM.

Objectives

To develop the understanding of the role of gender and equality in youth work; To train staff of participating organizations in gender awareness and anti-discriminatory practices; To increase community awareness on gender issues through awareness campaigns (capacity building activities) based on using following innovative elements: integrated media tools and storytelling; To improve networking amongst involved CSOs and other stakeholders and support sharing best practices of gender related activities

Aim of The Training Courses

The training courses aim to raise awareness, develop understanding and train participants in gender awareness and anti-discriminatory practices held with representatives of participating organizations.

Target Group 

Youth workers, educators, with previous experiences in youth work Committed to participating in the full cycle of the trainings. (we look forward to involve same participants for both TCs)

Age 20 + and  Good command in English language

Strong motivation to apply new learned knowledge in practices and be involved in follow up activities.

Training Courses 

1-VENUE: PRISHTINA, KOSOVO 23- 31, MARCH 2018

(23rd of March Arrival Day and 31st of March Departure Day)

First training course will consist from following main blocks of activities: getting to know each other activities, strengthening knowledge of the participants in the area of gender, and addressing gender based discrimination especially by using media and storytelling tools, evaluation activities.

2-VENUE: DURRES, ALBANIA 19- 2 , APRIL 2018

(19 of April Arrival Day and 27 of April Departure Day)

Second training course will focus on developing the competencies of the participants to raise awareness on gender issues in their communities and create successful public raising campaigns tackling gender based issues, gender based stereotypes and discrimination. The training will also on strengthening participants’ knowledge of Erasmus + Programme and provide the participants an opportunity to work on creating new project ideas.

The participation of both training courses are mandatory.
